The first shopping cart?
In the early 1990's, AXEO was the first software developer to
release a medical office management program for Microsoft
Windows and Microsoft Access. Back then, patients and providers could dial-up
via a modem directly to the computer running the application.
AXEO was one of the first software developers to
release a major vertical market application for
Microsoft Access and then one of the first to
release for the .Net Framework.

In the late 1990's, we Web-enabled our applications for
client/customer interactivity via a Web-browser. A patient
for example could schedule an appointment and pay for an
encounter (a visit or service) on-line via their Internet
connection and Web browser. The providers (Doctors) could
check records and post progress notes, review images and more at
anytime wherever and whenever they had Internet access. For many
years now, this functionality has been in use broadly and is now
often generically called, "shopping cart" software. Just
like in a grocery store where you pull an item from the shelf
and place it in your cart then head for the cashier; on your
computer screen, you select an item from a list for
purchase, place it your virtual shopping cart, then go pay for it
with a form/data collection screen, or
"check out".
Starting in 2000, AXEO began adopting the SaaS (Software as a
Service) model. Now the software license is "rented" and the
software for both client/costumer and provider/admin runs over
the Internet. No need to buy, install, support and upgrade software
on your computers and network. Now, almost full circle,
clients/customers and providers/admin can interact with their
software, but now anyplace, anytime with a variety devices that
can access the Internet and run a Web-browser.

We will modify our software.
Often times, software
already on the market is either too general or too expensive,
too hard to use, or can't be modified.
We can take one or more of our existing applications and our
long history of software development and modify for a particular
vertical and specialty (example: dentistry / orthodontics) and
personalize if needed (your cosmetics such as colors, font
sizes, etc.). We will license to you the end-product on a
subscription or rental basis. The savings for you are
often at least two-fold -- the time and costs of a complete
lifecycle development project (could be years, and tens of
thousands to hundreds of thousands dollars) and the benefits to your
business of better fitting software. AXEO, in turn, will
add the new version to its inventory of software titles. You
serve as one of our customers (our installed base) and a
reference source. You may even want to become a reseller
of AXEO Software as a Service products.
